GOLF TOURNAMENT AT CHAMPAGNE SPORTS RESORT

The Committee of the Widows and Orphans Fund KZN entered into an agreement with the management of Champagne Sports Resort, in the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, to host an annual golf tournament to benefit the Widows and Orphans Fund.

This is a new event which follows the success of the annual Mike Procter hosted golf day, which has been held at the Mount Edgecombe CC over the last thirteen years and we trust that the support of the latter shall be carried forward to this special event which took place in one of the most serene environments in Southern Africa. The event which was held over the weekend of the 26th – 29th October 2017, was a great success and everyone par-taking was impressed and committed to next years’ event.
The MC for the final evening event was rugby legend Stefan Terblanche and everyone present, players, wife’s and girlfriends thoroughly enjoyed the food which was as usual at Champagne Sports Resort, world class! The committee, the owners and management of CSR agreed that this is an event that they would definitely want to support and ensure that it grows to a must attend event on the CSR and golf players calendar. The winner was Tommy Larkan which walked away with prizes worth R15000-00; we trust that we will have ladies participating next year.
